Manchester Art Gallery

Widely hailed as bringing together the most impressive collection of sculpture, costumerie and painting in Northern England, Manchester Art Gallery is something of an artistic triumph in its own right. A sprawling column-flanked stone building, it houses twenty-one rooms of resident art and craft collections, alongside a fleet of constantly rotating guest exhibitions. Also worth checking out is their associated Gallery of Costume, which resides in Platt Fields.
