Hillhead Bookclub

Formerly the site of rejuvenated cinema-bar, The Salon, this venue's latest incarnation as Hillhead Bookclub finds it lodged much more cosily in the oh-so-boho category. Nostalgic comfort food (think steak and ale pies and eton mess – though, obviously, not together) is soundtracked by a mix of vinyl classics and trendy young things on the playlist, while a serious appreciation for cold drinks and hot live acts means that Hillhead's band and DJ residencies will have you queuing round the block for bookclub membership. Never before have studious weekends been so fun.
