Jekyll and Hyde
A must see for any tourist in town but also a fantastic place for an after work pint, lunchtime munch or fun time on a Friday.
A venue filled with character and style, from hidden toilets and spooky booths and Jekyll and Hyde cocktails, there is plenty to keep you occupied. Also a stop off for any literary tours wondering the streets of Edinburgh.
Great place for a pint.
A fringe venue throughout August the downstairs is home to up and coming talent at the free fringe.

Add a comment »I’m holidaying in the UK from Australia and was refused service by the unfriendly Manager because my 34 year old Asian friend was not carrying any identification. We have visited pubs all over the UK and this is the only place that has been a problem. I wonder why. My complaint was brushed aside. They refused to tell me the last time they’d asked a 34 year old Caucasian for his identification. The company said “Under the current laws the person responsible for running any bar is permitted to refuse service for any number of reasons ... a reason does not have to be given.” Left a very sour taste in our mouths and spoiled our visit to Edinburgh.

Report to moderatorI'm 30 and white scottish and I still get ID'd for places. If your saying "asian" and "I wonder why", well I've never ever heard of any prejudice towards Oriental people in Scotland, and if you mean from the Indian subcontinent, well...they are "Caucasian". Educate yourself before criticising this place.
