The Forest Café
The Forest is a volunteer-run, self-funded, not-for-profit arts space located in the centre of Edinburgh. The café provides basic hot and cold food and drinks and has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where you can sit and read a book or start up a conversation with strangers. The Forest hosts a huge amount of events, workshops and parties in its art space, main venue room or hall-ex-chapel upstairs.

Add a comment »I love Forest., For many years I have been involved with the place, and I stay committed, because I feel it has so much to offer. There is nowhere else I have been where you can be so easily accepted and included, where artists of all kinds are supported. Where else in Edinburgh can you go and read, sit or use Wi-Fi without being expected to buy anything? It is a myth that only "hippies" can make use of the facilities, The Forest is based around a culture of accessibility. Anyone is welcome. The organisation is run by the people that use and need it. You? Get involved...
