The Left Bank bar and kitchen is somewhere you can visit anytime of the day. with its welcoming glass front onto Gibson Street, sprawling cushion seats and intimate mezzanine you can easily while away a good few hours working through their many menus. Starting with brunch, coffee and smoothies for breakfast, then moving through to lunch, all day mains and evening meals, before ending with cocktails and bar snacks, they are always serving something delicious. The menus are diverse – mixing Asian dishes with British classics and using seasonal and local produce wherever possible. Their brunch is particularly amazing, and on top of the common brunch dishes they offer several unusual alternatives, such as Lebanese and Mexican breakfasts. And, if last night was a heavy one, you can accompany the brunch with a Wasabi Mary cocktail – a twist on the classic Bloody Mary with a pinch of wasabi. As well as cocktails, The Left Bank bar offers a small bottled beer selection including several Scottish beers, a decent range of draft including West Hefwiezen and an extensive range of wines by the glass.
