Jam House

Housed in what was originally the BBC's Edinburgh quarters, The Jamhouse is a cavernous restaurant and live-entertainment venue, owned and frequented by that musically-unimpeachable little Jools Holland bloke. The in-house band and stellar guest performances remind The Skinny of a simpler, brighter time when dancing was about live music and classy clothes, rather than than just awkward twitching in time to electronic beeps as a guy in big headphones flits around a sound desk.
We digress. Expect to experience sumptuous suppers, rollicking performances, and a biting nostalgia for whatever came before nightclubs.
