SECC

On the idyllic riverside of Glasgow lies the SECC, or to those unfamiliar with the landscape 'The Armadillo' (our very own Sydney Opera House). The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre has all the usual trappings of a colossal, inhuman venue and so most-often plays host to biggie acts of the popular-with-the-kids-and-middle-aged-folks variety.  As well as huge international acts, the SECC provides a uniformly generic backdrop for hundreds of conferences and public events every year, from theatre and comedy to exhibitions and musicals. As one of Scotland’s largest venues the SECC is an important, if somewhat charmless, Scottish staple.
