Mosque Kitchen

The mythic brilliance of the Southside's Mosque Kitchen is a very poorly kept secret amongst Edinburgh's student population. While its primary purpose is to cater for its congregation, everyone's welcome in the Mosque's low-key, al fresco, canteen-style set-up. Expect exceptionally tasty, piping hot home-cooked curries, pakoras, dahl, and fresh-baked naans so aromatic that the Kitchen's one pitfall (outside dining in all weathers) is easily overlooked. Frequently hailed as Edinburgh's best curry house, the Mosque Kitchen is - with a hearty meal available for under a fiver - easily also its cheapest.
