Add a comment »the restaurant is not clean and the food is acceptable. it was one of the worst Italian restaurant in Glasgow for me during the past 10 years. just make sure that the food is not microwaved and ask them to replace the plate if it was.

Report to moderatorWas there last night and won't bother going back. There is too many good Italian restaurants in Glasgow, and close by to this one, to waste your time and money.
One thing I expect from an Italian is fresh made pasta, unfortunately this place doesn't provide it - think cheap packet pasta from supermarket. I was really surprised at how poor the pasta dishes were. I hope the Chef wasn't Italian, otherwise he must have no pride in his origins to provide such poor pasta dishes.
The penne carbonara was only what could be considered poor with a slight coating of dried packet pasta with some chopped bacon thrown in. I got the special seafood pasta, however, the seafood was overcooked and rubbery to the point I gave up. The Napolian sauce is not anything like a napolian sauce from anywhere else and verged on tasteless. On being asked by the waiter if everything was OK, I mentioned my points to be told - I'll speak to the Chef. Unfortunately nothing else was said to me, no apology. I would even go as far as they didn't even acknowledge my points or care. I didn't turn up to pay good money to review their food. I would have expected some form of acknowledgement by the manager but instead I got a shrug of the shoulder when he was told by the waiter of my disappointment. He didn't even bother to take his reaction out of sight.
I should also mentioned that the atmosphere lacks due to the music being played, who wants to eat listening to Lady Ga Ga's poker face.
