Edinburgh Playhouse
One of the capital's most prolific theatre venues, the Playhouse has only had a relatively recent rejuvenation, emerging into the arena of internationally acclaimed entertainment after some major renovation work in 1993. Nowadays though, it's doing rather well for itself; in recent years, it's played host to some of the biggest names in comedy (Ricky Gervais; Jimmy Carr; Dylan Moran), touring West-End musicals (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; The Sound of Music;), musicians (Kylie; Bob Dylan), and erm...psychological trickery (Derren Brown has performed two consecutive annual sellout shows here). Whatever your cup of tea, the Playhouse has developed a solid reputation for outstanding live performances.

THEATRE IS CRAMPED AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCTION, WAIT FOR A DECENT ONE, OR BUY THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY DISC INSTEAD.
