An airy and open space for contemporary art exhibitions and people who just want to enjoy the atmosphere in one of the side rooms or in the main cafe.
The range of events and exhibitions at the CCA is vast, from visual art to dance, spoken word and music events - there is something for all artistic genres to enjoy and embrace.
Lottery funding got the venue up and in spanking new shape and it has been going strong since 2001. Music policy is focused on improvised, experimental electro and the experimental ethos applies to most of what the CCA does.
The venue is a big supporter of up-and-coming Scottish talents and aims to push emerging artists into the publics attention.
