Annual arts festival LeithLate have stepped it up this year. Their visual art programme introduces three art strands: a solo exhibition of work by recent GSA graduate Clara Hastrup, who was recipient of the inaugural LeithLate Award; an exhibition curated by Holly Knox Yeoman, the former visual arts curator at Summerhall, on the theme of precarity in Leith; and a sound installation from Yann Seznec that takes place in community charity shop Settlement Projects and is comprised completely of donations found in the venue.

On top of that, there's the e'er popular mural tours, a public poetry trail, an art bus, a handsome selection of theatre and dance and shit-tonnes more besides. Oh, and keep the night of 15 Jun free for another epic LeithLate afterparty, this time headlined by Lost Map Records' Kid Canaveral.

Glasgow Science Festival
8-18 June, city-wide

The world of Science has taken a bit of a Trump-shaped beating of late, so show your solidarity (and see some dank experiments while you're at it) with Glasgow Science Festival between 8-18 Jun. The full programme's available here, but we think Pure Random Science Show – an adults-only experiment show at Glasgow Science Centre – sounds like a pretty ace way to spend an eve.
