What's on Scotland 30 Mar-6 Apr: Edinburgh Science Fest

Edinburgh Science Fest shenanigans bring cheeseology workshops and talks on the science of break-ups our way, while elsewhere you'll find touring cocktail convention Tales of the Cocktail, Glasgow's GLITCH Film Festival and more

Feature by Kate Pasola | 30 Mar 2017

Edinburgh Science Festival's got it all this year, with an expansive programme spilling geeky goodness between 1-16 Apr across Edinburgh. Whether you're into explosions or the race for space, learning about cheese or learning to nap, discussions about séances or the science of break-ups, you're gonna be spoiled for choice. As always, there's plenty of programming for families too, from interactive robo-shows to jewellery workshops.

If all that detail has you a little overwhelmed, start with what you know – eating stuff. Our esteemed Food & Drink Editor has picked out his fave foodie shows at the fest, including the aforementioned 'Cheeseology' workshop, along with beer-soaked special events and at least two carnivorous congregations. Get all the juicy deets here.
