Strange Behaviours
The Tolbooth, Stirling. 21 & 22 Nov, 7pm

Stirling beckons us this weekend, as two-day multi-stage music fest Strange Behaviours returns to The Tolbooth, seeing Admiral Fallow and United Fruit headline day one and two respectively, alongside a schedule of 15 additional acts – among them Man Of Moon (pictured), Outblinker, Siobhan Wilson, and CARBS – plus DIY record stalls and all the craft beers you can guzzle. Sixfest
Various venues, Glasgow and Edinburgh. 23-28 Nov, various times

Scottish guerrilla gig adventurers and video bloggers Detour celebrate six years of promotion with the appropriately titled Sixfest – a six-day series of gigs, kicking off on 23 November with a secret gig (sign up for free tickets and enlightening through the Sofar mailing list here), before collab duo Bdy_Prts (pictured) play a free gig at Bloc the following evening, followed by more gigs between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and a surprise closing party. Selected 2015
Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh. Opens 21 Nov, Mon-Sat

This Saturday sees Dovecot Studios open its doors for Selected 2015, the gallery's annual selling exhibition of contemporary Scottish craft and design – now in its third year – showcasing various local makers across disciplines including jewellery, silversmithing, ceramics, glass, textiles, and furniture. And we're sure you don't need reminding that Christmas is but a month away (i.e we'd like one of Eileen Gatt's animal lapel pins (pictured), please Santa).

Roisin Murphy
O2 ABC, Glasgow. 24 Nov, 7pm

Best known as the vocalist of late 90s electronic duo Moloko (with then-boyfriend Mark Brydon), Irish chanteuse Róisín Murphy takes to the road with her Mercury Prize-nominated – and rather glorious – new solo LP Hairless Toys, melting together skittish house, sultry vocals, and a tense emotional landscape in one musically-rich, disco-tinged whole. Plus, she'll obviously be wearing something fab-u-lous.

What We Wrote
The Glad Cafe, Glasgow. 24 Nov, 7.30pm

Book Week Scotland kicks off seven days of literary loveliness this week (running 23-29 Nov), with The Glad Cafe getting in on the action with a special 'What We Wrote' session – for which various authors and musicians will be showcasing their talents, among them members of the Glad Cafe Writers Circle, plus live music from The Glad Cafe Community Choir, MC Almond Milk, and Circle Meets Dot (aka Jo Mango (pictured) and Wesley Chung). And all for gratis!

Onder Invloed
The Glad Cafe, Glasgow. 21 Nov, 7.30pm

Dutch music journalist Matthijs van der Ven returns to Glasgow for a live outing of his Onder Invloed internet sessions project. Literally translated as 'under the influence', he'll be joined on the night by a bumper batch of his favourite musicians – among them Pronto Mama, Washington Irving (pictured, by Ingrid Mur), and Iona Macdonald – each being filmed performing two covers by artists who've inspired them, plus one original tune, to be hosted on the website.

Festival of the Spoken Nerd: Just For Graphs
Oran Mor, Glasgow. 19 Nov, 7pm

Touring comedy fun night Festival of the Spoken Nerd makes its way to Scotland with another geekily-themed night – this time around the topic of graphs – presented by geek songstress Helen Arney, stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, and resident experiments guy Steve 'Danger' Mould, with the added bells'n'whistles of guest scientists and comedians... And, y'know, a promised retro fax machine solo, however that may go.

Edinburgh Printmakers' Open Day 2015
Edinburgh Printmakers, Edinburgh. 21 Nov, 11am-5pm

Offering nosey buggers the chance to explore the oldest open access printmaking studio in the UK, Edinburgh Printmakers hosts its annual Open Day – taking in printmaking workshops, demonstrations, and studio tours, plus the chance to view new winter members' exhibition, Indelible Traces, looking at the emergence of post-industrial communities in the vicinity of Castle Mill Works in Fountainbridge (aka Edinburgh Printmakers' future home come 2018).

The Prodigy
The SSE Hydro, Glasgow. 23 Nov, 6.30pm

Last seen in these parts steamrolling the T in the Park stage back in July, progenitors of modern electronic dance music The Prodigy take to the road with their new LP The Day Is My Enemy – their first since 2010's Invaders Must Die – bringing the rave to the not-so-intimate surrounds of Glasgow's gargantuan Hydro, with support from old skool hip-hop heroes Public Enemy. The Buff Club's 12th Birthday
Buff Club, Glasgow. 20 Nov, 10pm

An oft-overlooked gem in the crown of Glasgow’s vibrant nightlife, The Buff Club marks its 12th birthday as is only right – as in, with a celebratory party! For the occasion they'll welcome a guest set from French house DJ/producer/mixer/all-round talented chap Dimitri From Paris (pictured) and his guided-by-the-vibe-of-the-night musical selections, buoyed by the joys/perils of a 4am extended license.
