Dilly Dilly is a fantastic adventure that can transport even the sternest adult back to childhood. Created by choreographer Claire Pencak, dancer Tara Hodgson and composer Quee MacArthur, it has a magical charm that evokes wonder and innocence through a gentle soundtrack and a light touch.

The plot is simple: a little girl interacts with the world around her, amazed by nature and exploring it with all her eyes, ears and nose. She smells flowers, flies like a bird, dances around the animals and makes a friends with a scarecrow. Through her imagination, she can change the world to her own pleasure.

Tara Hoggson's performance is very dynamic. Unafraid of looking silly, she captures a childlike joy, watering the plants and cultivating the garden. She explores and learn, plays and laughs in a colourful, simple set. The musical choices are evocative and sweet, framing the dance in a lively and safe atmosphere.

By interacting with the audience, Hogdson gains their trust and empathy, making this an enjoyable show that is perfect for youngsters and adults who still enjoy a carefree innocence.
