Watch that poisonous smile...

A new skin care range made from snake venom has been hailed an “anti-ageing miracle”.

The serums and moisturisers in the Dr. Tuhin Dev Skincare range contain ‘Synake’, a manmade copy of Asian Temple Viper venom, which is thought to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Together with sea anemone extract Thalassine, Synake relaxes facial muscles, stretching the surface of the skin to make wrinkles appear less deep. Other ingredients work to plump the skin by stimulating collagen production.

Early testers of the product have been “amazed” by its ability to “turn back time”, with some even suggesting it as a possible alternative to cosmetic surgery.

It is Dr. Dev’s first eponymous skincare range after years of working as a skincare specialist. He explained: “I wanted to create an age defence skincare range that would give my clients and customers what they really want – products that work, products that visibly reduce wrinkles and products that offer a real alternative to cosmetic surgery.”

But the range is not cheap – the Essential Elixir Anti-Wrinkle Face Serum costs £150 for 30 1ml ampoules. The Core Protect Day Cream is cheaper, at £69.95 for 50ml, because it contains far less Synake than the serum.

The range also includes a night cream, cleanser and toner. The products are available online at drtuhindevskincare.co.uk.
