Sir Michael Caine told David Walliams to curb his womanising ways, it has been reported. The acting legend urged the comic star to settle down with the right woman, revealing he didn't find true happiness until he married current wife Shakira in 1973. "Michael Caine said to me, 'I used to be like you. I used to think with women, it was about quantity. Then I met my beautiful wife Shakira'," David told The Sun. "Michael Caine told me, 'I realised that I couldn't sleep with every woman in the world'. He was sharing an apartment with Terence Stamp in the 60s. It must have been a very, very exciting time to be young and famous." David has taken Michael's dating advice, revealing he is now in a serious relationship. The 38-year-old funnyman is smitten with his mystery girlfriend, but has made every effort to keep the romance out of the public spotlight. He said: "It is new and exciting but I would rather not jinx it. We have been good at keeping it out of the papers. I know people won't believe it, but I have low self-esteem. That is why I feel the need to date loads of girls. Then you realise it's not going to get you anywhere."
