Georgia May Jagger is the face of Versace’s spring 2010 collection.

The 17-year-old model, the daughter of Rolling Stones rocker Sir Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, is excited to have won the role, especially as her mother has previously modelled for the label.

“We are delighted that Georgia is following the footsteps of her mother who did Versace with Avedon. She was thrilled to be working with Donatella and Mario Testino,” her spokeswoman said. “Georgia is excited to be entering this new chapter for Versace and to be part of it reaching the new generation.”

No further details of the collaboration have been released, although designer Donatella Versace has revealed why Georgia was chosen.

She said: “She's smart, beautiful, full of energy and has a strong personality and with that natural high star quality, I adore her. She's perfect for this collection - a real Versace girl.”

Georgia’s career has taken off in recent months, with the model winning contracts with cosmetics company Rimmel London and Hudson Jeans.

Meanwhile, Daisy Lowe will reportedly take part in a Miami press kit shoot for Louis Vuitton over the weekend. Daisy will reportedly model the label’s new beach line, including shoes, bags and accessories.
