Clint Mansell announces four date UK tour for 2016

Influential soundtrack maestro and former Pop Will Eat Itself frontman Clint Mansell will return to the UK for a string of dates next spring, at last making his much delayed Glasgow debut.

A frequent collaborator of Darren Aronofsky since his cult 1998 feature debut Pi, Mansell has established himself as one of the most original and compelling cinematic composers in recent decades. Speaking to The Skinny last October, he remarked of their enduring alliance: “Darren is always looking for more, and one of the things that we originally connected over was how we felt that modern film music was just so much wallpaper. Creative relationships are never easy, and maybe they're not supposed to be, but if you keep challenging one another and the results come then it’s worth the journey.”

Expect live interpretations of work from Requiem for A Dream, The Fountain, Moon and 2014's biblical blockbuster Noah at the following dates.

23 March Birmingham Symphony Hall
24 March London Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre,
26 March Gateshead Sage
29 March Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
