The Teenagers - Love No

Maybe its time for the Teenagers to grow up, just a bit

Single Review by Pete Ballantine | 06 Mar 2008
Single title: Love No
Artist: The Teenagers
Label: Merok
On their MySpace page, the Teenagers exclaim to have been influenced by LOVE and SEX and PUBERTY and HAM ROLLZ. Maybe they should see about adding GOOD TUNEZ to that list. The naïve pop of previous single Starlett Johansson came across as a nice wee bit of juvenile fun, in the vein of say Weezer's blue album. Here, it starts to grate. Lyrics straight from the Just 17 problem page played out over pseudo Killers synth pop is no way to go about seeking the attention of the adults among us. Maybe it's time for the Teenagers to grow up, just a bit. [Pete Ballantine]
