We just can't seem to get enough of the all-conquering garage disco beat right now. Combine it with an anthemic melody and catchy guitar hook and apparently we're as happy as a pig in shit. The Automatic have used this to devastating effect on their new single Monster, which is already eliciting excited squealing and much curly tail wagging across the country. It is destined to be one of the festival songs of the summer and will doubtless provide the soundtrack to thousands of us rollicking around in the manner of our pork chop providing chums. [Dave Reid]
