This sexy drone from Norwegians Serena Maneesh takes the detached cool of the Mary Chain and warms it through gently with some ethereal, soft Scandinavian girl/boy vocals. Layers of texture are amassed through repetition of words, a clanging guitar riff and monochrome, thudding drums. More of an atmosphere than a conventionally structured "song", Drain Cosmetics paints a sound-picture of shades-wearing lovers driving on an endless, empty highway as sunlight breaks through clouds.
