The Domino State- Firefly

2/5 stars

It’s a well known but perhaps unspoken rule that to plagiarise U2 will not make you popular with the critical press but may sell you a few records. The Domino State will be aware of this, but have still decided to churn out Firefly, a slow-burning epic from start to finish that goes absolutely nowhere. Amongst all the reverb, the lead singer is singing something about how much he loves someone else, and it all sounds like it's been done a trillion times before. Sorry lads, but it's just not on.

  • Isnt it funny that everyone loves music like this, but critics turn there noses up at the slightest whiff of something that might be enjoyed by the general public. Sorry mate, its just not on.
