Cherry Ghost - Mathematics

Grabs you like double periods of trigonomics just never could.

Single title: Mathematics
Artist: Cherry Ghost
Label: Heavenly
You don't find too many pub arguments about calculus methods or measuring compound angles but Cherry Ghost have found something in Mathematics that grabs you like double periods of trigonomics just never could. The sound is rich, filled with subtle textures of piano, strings and glockenspiel and sharp but understated vocals. The song effuses a sexiness of classy chemistry; uplifting but reserved and at once euphoric but tinged with sadness. Mathematics will not go softly in to the recesses of our memory like those hours in high school class, but it would've made a great soundtrack to it. [Jamie Borthwick]
