The Procession - Don't Let Go / Don't Hesitate

The Procession kick of their debut single with a double A-side: Don't Let Go and Don't Hesitate. The first track is what can only be described as a happy clappy salute to Beach Boys inspired melodies and harmonies. However, Don't Hesitate lets the side down when the initial promise of a grunge inspired style suddenly turns into cockney sparrow piano honky-tonk with a whiney vocal. Resultantly, The Procession appear as another 'the' band with an unoriginal sound and an undefinable style, adding to the wave of generic sounding indie bands leaving the music scene awash with too many clones.
