As was previously revealed, the Scottish Alternative Music Awards will be bringing some of the brightest talent on the Scottish music scene to Paisley on 2 and 3 March for gigs and seminars celebrating Scotland's grassroots music scene. Some of the bands heading to the SAMAs Paisley takeover festival have already been announced – including live sets from Siobhan Wilson, SWAY and Pronto Mama, and a workshop with Paisley natives The Vegan Leather – but today the line-up has been filled out.

The opening night of the two-day showcase will feature solo musician and poet Heir of the Cursed, who'll be bringing her "magnetising blend of calming instrumentals and vocal stylings" to Paisley. Headliners on opening night is Out Lines. Combining The Twilight Sad frontman James Graham, SAY-winner Kathryn Joseph and acclaimed producer Marcus Mackay, the trio head to town hot on the heels of their sold out set for Celtic Connections and UK tour with Mogwai. The opening night also includes an intimate session from Emme Woods, who's performing in record shop Feel the Groove ahead of her SXSW debut, where she'll be joined by local wordsmiths Robert Blair and Shaun Moore.

In terms of seminars, there's When is the best time to showcase your band on a national level? and How to do DIY in 2018?, the latter of which features contributions from Ian Crawford of El Rancho Records, J-Bone promoter Alana Hepburn and Conor Goldie of Public Records. Also not to be missed is an "In Conversation” on-stage chat with former Simple Minds manager and ex-record shop owner Bruce Findlay, who'll be discussing his career with BBC Radio Scotland (and sometimes 6Music) presenter Vic Galloway.

“The SAMAs takeover in March is going to be a great couple of days filled with an exciting events programme,” says festival manager Richy Muirhead. “We’re delighted to share the full line-up with new additions Out Lines, Heir of the Cursed, Emme Woods and loads more!"
