Ought announce new album ‘Sun Coming Down’

Montreal post-punk quartet Ought have announced the release of their second full-length LP, Sun Coming Down, this September.

Sun Coming Down is the follow-up to their broadly acclaimed debut More Than Any Other Day, which saw the Canadian four-piece show off their blend of "discordant post-punk jitteriness with the democratic ethos of mid-90s emo". Listen to Beautiful Blue Sky from Sun Coming Down in the player below.

The new album will follow a European tour including a date at The Deaf Institute in Manchester on 2 September, as well as a set at End of the Road Festival in Dorset alongside Tame Impala, Sufjan Stevens, and our current cover stars The War on Drugs.

Sun Coming Down is out on 18 September via Constellation Records. Ought tour Europe in August and September; they also play ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas 2.0 with The Notwist, Courtney Barnett, Blanck Mass and more at Prestatyn, North Wales, from 27-29 November.
