Duke Garwood unveils 'Disco Lights' video

Article by Dave Kerr | 16 Mar 2015

Following the release of his critically-acclaimed fifth album Heavy Love, London-based bluesman Duke Garwood unveils the video for his new single Disco Lights.

The video was directed by photogapher Steve Gullick, famous for his images of acts like Nirvana and Bonnie "Prince" Billy (aka Will Oldham). Described by Garwood as a "tale of deadly love at first sight," Disco Lights is the second single to be released from the album, and also features singer-songwriter Petra Jean Phillipson on backing vocals.

Garwood has also announced tour dates, plus details of a limited edition split 7" with former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan, to be released for Record Store Day by Heavenly Recordings. The pair have collaborated previously, most notably on their 2013 album Black Pudding. The split release will include a cover of Fresh As A Sweet Sunday Morning, originally by Glasgow-born folk legend Bert Jansch.
