Kendrick Lamar is hitting the road early next year for his first headline gigs in the UK since 2013. Lamar's record label boss Anthony 'Top Dawg' Tiffith confirmed the locations and dates for the tour via Twitter this morning, with Kendrick Lamar playing the Hydro in Glasgow on 11 February, sandwiched between a show at Manchester Arena on 10 February and two gigs at the O2 in London on 12 and 13 February. Lamar also plays gigs in Dublin and Birmingham on 7 and 9 February respectively.

In the time since his last UK tour, Lamar has released not one but two of the decade's most acclaimed hip-hop records – the sprawling jazz and funk-inflected epic To Pimp A Butterfly, and the deeply personal DAMN. which dropped earlier this year and topped The Skinny's Albums of 2017 so far list this summer. Support on Lamar's tour comes from James Blake, whose piano work features on DAMN. track ELEMENT

Tickets for Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. UK tour go on sale on Fri 6 Oct at 9am; get tickets for the Glasgow Hydro show here.
