Idlewild have released the video for their new single Every Little Means Trust, featuring How To Train Your Dragon and This is the End star Jay Baruchel.

The video, shot in the Highlands during the band’s recent UK tour, is Idlewild’s first official promo clip in over eight years. Describing his relationship with the band, Jay says: “Idlewild have been the soundtrack of my life since I first heard them in Bristol when I was 19.

"I was lucky enough to be near the radio when ‘You Held The World In Your Arms’ came on and it was epic and anthemic and that was it. It was like hearing a favourite band that I’d somehow never heard before.”

In an interview with The Guardian, Baruchel, who is set to begin shooting on the follow-up to his "brutal and painfully funny" ice hockey comedy Goon, described the band as "the soundtrack of my life for close to half of it".

The track is taken from Idlewild’s new LP Everything Ever Written – the new single was one of seven tracks we shot in session with the band earlier this year. Watch the stripped-down version in the player below.

Every Little Means Trust is out on 27 Apr; Everything Ever Written is out now – read our in-depth interview with the band here.
