Be Charlotte and Fatherson have been added to the bill for this year's Hogmanay Street Party in Edinburgh.

Dundee pop ace Charlotte Brimner and the Kilmarnock indie trio join Tim Burgess and The Charlatans on the Street Party's Waverley Stage; the party's Castle Stage will feature performances from Scottish Celtic crossover bands Salsa Celtica, Mànran and Ross Ainslie, Ali Hutton & Friends, while the Mound Stage’s jazz programme features James Brown is Annie, Brass Gumbo and Blues n Trouble.

Frederick Street’s Party Stage will feature DJs, dancers and performers from Guilty Pleasures, and VJs Buttercup and Pixels will be mixing cutting-edge visuals to accompany the dance tunes relayed on seven screens along the length of Princes Street and throughout the Street Party arena.

Marc Strain of Fatherson said: "We're incredibly excited to be playing at Edinburgh's Hogmanay this year. We've been really lucky to tick off quite a few things from our bucket list this year but this is still on there. We've been pestering people to play it for years and it's nice to be in a place now to be invited to do so! We've had an incredible year and can't really think of any better way to see it out than in Edinburgh!"

Paolo Nutini's Princes Street Gardens concert on 31 Dec has sold out; tickets are available for Nutini's Night Afore show on 30 Oct.
