Having burst onto the scene as part of Scottish hip-hop band Stanley Odd, MC and poet Dave Hook is back with his debut solo album under his Solareye moniker. Hook says the new album – titled All These People Are Me – is "about how we’re all complex, contradictory human things that don’t fit into easily defined boxes. Or maybe it’s just a way to write an album that’s half thoughtful ponderings/half braggadocious rap and justify it by going – ‘that’s the human condition mate’.”
Ahead of the album's release this May, we're happy to be sharing the first look at the music video for lead track Mr Margins ahead of its release on streaming platforms and iTunes tomorrow; you can watch the video now, in the player above or on YouTube here. The track features typically heartfelt and incisive verses from Hook, backed by a driving industrial beat by Stanley Odd producers Dunt and Harvey Kartel.
