Boy Azooga is the moniker of Cardiff-based musician Davey Newington. Prior to this latest incarnation, Newington was the driving force behind the percussion section of Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon. Now he’s out on his own and set to release his debut album as Boy Azooga – 1, 2, Kung Fu – on 8 June; influenced by the likes of Ty Segall and William Onyeabor, you can catch him tonight at Sneaky’s. Tweak_ in the House: Tweak_ 3rd Birthday @ Kippilaw House, Melrose, 9 Jun

For Tweak_’s 3rd birthday party, the Edinburgh-based house and techno club night are putting on their most ambitious event to date with a 12-hour music marathon at Kippilaw House in Melrose in the Scottish Borders. The day will run from 1pm-1am and will feature some top-notch selectors including Kornel Kovacs, Dominic Cappello, IDA, Gareth Sommerville, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and more across three rooms, which will surely make for a unique day out in the countryside. Charlotte De Witte @ SWG3, Glasgow, 30 Jun

After several years of going under the male pseudonym of ‘Raving George,’ Belgium’s Charlotte De Witte came clean in 2015 and her career has skyrocketed since. With a busy schedule ahead of her, which will take her quite literally all over the world, this night at SWG3 is one of only a handful of UK dates for the techno DJ and producer this summer. Fiesta x Fold @ Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, 30 Jun-1 Jul

The 70s are back and you can find them in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park this summer all thanks to Fiesta x FOLD, the brand new festival brought to you by the team behind The West End Fiesta, who have collaborated with the legendary Niles Rodgers’ Let’s Freak Out Let’s Dance Party. Live performances at Fiesta x FOLD can be expected from Earth, Wind & Fire, Emeli Sandé, Laura Mvula, Morcheeba, Ana Matronic (Sister Sisters) as well as Nile Rodgers & Chic. STREETrave Massive Summer All-Dayer @ Braehead Arena, Glasgow, 14 Jul

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the last Sister Sledge STREETrave show in Ayr, STREETrave are back, but this time at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena with Sister Sledge playing a full live show. As well as the Sledge, you can also catch sets in the ‘All Day Disco’ from John Morales and Yogi Haughton; get lost in the 80s in Arena 3, or don your skates in Arena 4’s Roller Disco. Soulwax (live) @ SWG3, Glasgow, 15 Jul

David and Stephen Dewaele’s resume is one of high acclaim full of dance magic: together they have toured the globe as 2manydjs; they run their own DEEWEE label; they run the Despacio project with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, and together they are Soulwax! Fresh releasing their latest album Essential on 22 June, catch Soulwax live tonight at Glasgow’s SWG3. Tickets £24.50

Nightvision presents CamelPhat @ The Liquid Room, Edinburgh, 21 Jul

Following on from Terminal V, their absolutely massive Easter weekend all-dayer at Ingliston, Nightvision take their parties well into the summer with house and techno producers CamelPhat tonight. The duo, best known for their single Cola, are bound to sell out Edinburgh’s Liquid Room tonight, so don’t dilly dally, get your tickets now. Tickets from £16.50-20

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival @ Belladrum Estate, Inverness, 2-4 Aug

Paloma Faith, Primal Scream, Amy Macdonald, Frightened Rabbit (performing The Midnight Organ Fight), The Charlatans, Professor Green, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Beth Orton, Songhoy Blues and Pumarosa are just some of the artists you can expect to enjoy at the tenth instalment of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. The last nine years of Bella have sold out, so you’d better act fast to avoid being a sad panda come the start of August.
