Sufjan Stevens, Tame Impala, The War on Drugs to headline End of the Road festival

Detroit folk singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens will play his first ever UK festival show at this year’s End of the Road festival in Dorset, after being confirmed as one of the festival's three headliners..

Stevens is joined by Australian acid rockers Tame Impala, and The War on Drugs – who came in third in our Albums of 2014 list – at the top of the bill for the festival’s tenth anniversary outing. Future Islands, Sleaford Mods, Django Django and BC Camplight also feature among the first clutch of names confirmed for September’s festival.

Last week, Stevens confirmed that new album Carrie & Lowell is due out at the end of March; it will be his first full-length album since 2010’s The Age of Adz. St Vincent and The Flaming Lips headed the line-up at the festival's 2014 edition.

End of the Road 2015 takes place from 4–6 Sep at Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset; weekend tickets are onsale now at £195. Carrie & Lowell by Sufjan Stevens is out on 30 Mar via Asthmatic Kitty.
