St. Vincent signs off bumper year with 'Birth in Reverse’ video

Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, has revealed a video for Birth in Reverse from her stand-out, self-titled fourth LP.

The clip for the track – which features some of the costume changes and stylistic tropes seen in Clark’s acclaimed live shows throughout 2014 – is directed by Willo Perron, who provided the art direction for St. Vincent’s cover.

St. Vincent was named as one of our music writers’ top ten albums of 2014, and Clark featured on the cover of our August issue. Speaking to The Skinny earlier this year, Clark described the self-titled album, which was nominated for a Grammy last week, as “an audio scrapbook of where I'd been, just so that it felt even more real. I had a year's worth of nights out, and people I'd met, and places I'd been, which I wanted to... synthesise.”
