Foo Fighters announce summer 2015 stadium gigs in Manchester and Edinburgh

Dave Grohl and co are all set for a series of huge gigs in the UK next summer, following the release of new LP Sonic Highways.

The Foos play the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground on 27 May, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield rugby stadium on 23 June complete with support from UK garage rock duo Royal Blood. The veteran quintet have also announced a pair of shows at Wembley Stadium with punk icon Iggy Pop as well as Royal Blood.

Grohl’s men last played in Edinburgh in 2007, when they performed at Meadowbank Stadium with Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails in tow, and the band’s last Scottish date came over three years ago when they headlined 2011’s T in the Park.

Tickets for the Foo Fighters’ shows in May and June 2015 go on sale on 21 Nov at 10am.
