Mancunian survivors The Charlatans have announced a major UK tour for March 2015 in support of their new album Modern Nature.

The cult indie group play gigs across the country – their first major UK tour since 2010 – next spring, with tickets on sale at 9am on Fri 24 Oct via Ticketweb. Modern Nature is the group’s first studio album for over four years, and the first following the death of drummer and co-founder Jon Brookes in 2013.

Since their last record, Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess has been hard at work releasing experimental, lo-fi and punk records on his own O Genesis label, collaborating with the likes of Lambchop's Kurt Wagner and Nik Coil Void of Factory Floor. FF drummer Gabriel Gurnsey is one of three to feature on Modern Nature, along with Stephen Morris of New Order and The Verve's Pete Salisbury.

Tickets for The Charlatans’ tour dates in March 2015 go on sale on Fri 24 Oct at 9am. The group’s new album Modern Nature is out on 1 Dec.
