The twelve winning films at this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival have been revealed ahead of the festival’s awards ceremony in Edinburgh tomorrow.

Free screenings of the winning films will take place at The Art School in Glasgow from 17-19 Oct, with free tickets available from the SMHAFF website.

Announcing the winning films, SMHAFF Film Curator and film producer Richard Warden said: “We were impressed by the diversity of entries to this year’s film awards, and the honesty on display in the submissions was both moving and inspiring. It was an honour to watch so many brave pieces of filmmaking during the selection process."

The chosen films were selected from over 150 entries submitted to SMHAFF, which is in its eighth year. The films will be honoured in an awards ceremony at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh on Thu 16 Oct – free tickets for the ceremony can be reserved here.
