The War on Drugs set for February 2015 UK tour

Philadelphia rockers The War on Drugs are set to return to the UK in February 2015 for their biggest UK tour to date.

Adam Granduciel and company will return to these shores in February for a host of shows, tickets for which go on sale via Ticketweb at 9am on Fri 3 Oct

The new dates are announced as The War on Drugs prepare for a sell-out tour of the UK in November, with next year's shows at Manchester's Albert Hall and the O2 Brixton Academy in London set to be among the band's biggest UK gigs so far.

The band’s hazy brand of Americana – as heard on marvellous third album Lost in the Dream released earlier this year – has seen them attract legions of fans on both sides of the Atlantic, with sets at this summer's Latitude, Primavera Sound and Glastonbury festivals drawing plaudits.

Rave reviews for Lost in the Dream – such as this four-star from ourselves back in March – have seen the band’s sound compared favourably with such classic rock dignitaries as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac.

The War on Drugs February 2015 UK tour dates (on sale Fri 3 Oct, 9am via Ticketweb):
19 Feb – The Albert Hall, Manchester
24 Feb – O2 Academy Brixton, London
25 Feb – Rock City, Nottingham
