Detour's Wee Jaunt returns to Edinburgh

Article by News Team | 14 Apr 2014

Detour Scotland's pop-up gig showcase, the Wee Jaunt, have announced another series of seven secret gigs, this time happening at seven yet-to-be-confirmed locations throughout Edinburgh. Late last year, Detour's Glasgow Wee Jaunt brought Rick Redbeard, Pronto Mama, Baby Strange, Toy Control, Cairn String Quartet, Carbs, DEMS, Prides and Young fathers together for a string of surprise gigs and DJ sets in unexpected locations – now, as summer approaches, they are hoping to repeat the trick in the Scottish capital, with an all-new lineup of bands and artists.

In association with Black Bottle Whisky, the fifth Wee Jaunt comes to Edinburgh on 26 April courtesy of Detour, run by Radio 1 DJ Ally McCrae and Creative Scotland's David Weaver, returning to the city for the first time since 2011. There will be space for 200 of the city's music fans to catch these seven unique sets.

The lineup, and the locations, are both closely-guarded secrets at the moment – we'll confirm details as soon as we can, but suffice to say... we've seen the list of bands confirmed so far, and you should be very excited indeed. You can book tickets here now.
