Michael Dalmar is the proverbial wet blanket. He has a boring insurance job, he’s dull, totally unassertive and the complete opposite of his sleazy identical twin brother, who makes a packet as a nude photographer. But when his brother goes missing in mysterious circumstances, he joins forces with a ballsy private investigator, Abigail Marks, and takes on his brother’s identity to discover the truth.

Writer/director Robert Gaston describes this as a sexy thriller and at its heart it’s a traditional buddy movie, the difference being he likes men and she likes women. Cheeky banter between the two leads keeps things light and mercifully it doesn’t take itself seriously. The low budget and wafer-thin plot, however, make it an occasional struggle and it’s only the (frequently unintentional) humour and the sense that the cast are enjoying themselves that stop it from being a disaster.

On a certain level this silly fluff is fun while it lasts, but two minutes later you won’t remember a thing about it.
