Bobby Perman, aka S-Type's first release in 2005 was a hip-hop themed EP for Surface Pressure. Since 2010's Medusa EP on Phuturelabs, he's turned his attention towards producing behemoth-sized, synth-led post-dubstep, and on his debut EP for LuckyMe, he shows exactly why a slew of labels have been fighting over his tracks in the past year or two.

Walrus, featuring vocoder vocals from Budgie, is absolutely huge – super-tight drum rolls push the tempo of its loping, G-funk stride. The title track introduces a note of crunk into proceedings with gigantic sub-bass and hip-hop shouts, while Flyp City is a rolling dubstep-paced banger. Enormous, progressive and funky, this EP will no doubt be blowing up a dancefloor near you very soon.
