| RED HOT CHILLI PIPERS GET SET TO ‘BLAST’ THEIR WAY INTO THE CHARTS!
Red Hot Chilli Pipers – Scotland’s pipers with attitude, are set to unleash a brand new sound on Monday 27th October with the release of their second album and DVD, BLAST Live! The band will also be embarking on a mini Scottish tour to coincide with the release, giving fans the chance to experience some Chilli magic live on stage!
Released through REL Records, BLAST Live! will feature the unique and truly phenomenal sound of the one of the country’s most exciting live acts, who have already earned themselves praise from the likes of Ewan MacGregor, Max Clifford, Lorraine Kelly and the Duke of Argyll to name but a few!
Since performing with the Darkness on the Main Stage at T in the Park 2004 and going on to win BBC primetime TV talent show, ’When Will I Be Famous’ in 2007, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers have been piping their way into the hearts of the nation with their fusion of traditional pipe tunes and contemporary anthems.
Recorded at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket earlier this year, BLAST Live! features tracks including an amazing version of Cold play’s ‘Clocks’, a rocked up ‘Highland Cathedral’ and ‘We Will Rock You’ complete with brass section and red hot rock chick highland dancers! The CD version also includes brand new studio tracks – a Christmas tune to contend the No 1 spot and a truly mesmerising re working of Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’.
To give their fans the chance to experience some Chilli magic live, the band will be performing and signing copies of BLAST Live! At HMV Stirling and Argyle Street on Monday 27th October following a mini tour of Scotland, which will see them take their signature ‘bag rock’ to the masses once again.
