Court Bar

A good place for conversation and an ideal location to start a long night out<br/>

Venue Review by Gareth K Vile | 13 Sep 2006
Situated just around the corner from the thriving hub of the Glasgow scene, the Court Bar is a refined and discreet pub. It serves a fair range of beers and coffees at reasonable prices and has an open, airy atmosphere. The recent redecoration is modern and plain, giving the illusion of space in a very small bar area. Although mixed during the day, it's mainly frequented by older men during the evening, who are welcoming and chatty, and it gets quite busy even on week nights. Since the only entertainment is provided by a television and a fruit machine, it's a good place for conversation and an ideal location to start a long night out. The recently refurbished downstairs area provides additional room and the continental-style seating outside allows smokers to enjoy the peaceful side-street. In spite of the clean décor, it has a homely and courteous feel, an excellent spot for a quiet pint after work or the beginning of an evening of partying. [Gareth K Vile]
