We're all skint, let's face it, but we all still want the thriving social life to which we've all become accustomed, so why not cut a few corners with the best of Liverpool's weekly restaurant deals.

Whether it's a full 50% off your food bill or a free bottle of wine, every little helps...

Mondays

Cosy Club in Liverpool ONE brings a bit of hope to the doom and gloom that is the start of a week with Marvellous Mondays, where any burger, salad or main meal will include a free drink. Every Mon, 5pm, free drink with any meal

Over at Thai restaurant Busaba each Monday you can also get half price fare thanks to Half Moondays, with 50% off food all day. Every Mon, all day, 50% off

Hope Street’s beloved modern British restaurant London Carriage Works not only offer a strong prix fixe menu, with two courses for £22 or three for £27.50, but will also throw in a free bottle of wine for two when you order it on Mondays. The offer also applies to the a la carte menu when you order a dish worth £22 or more. Simply quote ‘Monday Wine and Dine’ when you book. Every Mon, free bottle of wine

Tuesdays

Get down to Wahaca for Taco Tuesdays, when you can get your first plate of three traditional street food tacos for just £1 (when you order at least one other dish from the street food/big plates menu). Every Tue, all day, £1

Tapas Tuesdays at Cosy Club mean you can get three tapas dishes and a glass of wine for £11.95, with other options available for the non-wine drinkers (whoever they are). Every Tue, from 5pm, £11.95

Wednesdays

Wednesdays at Frederiks have been lovably dubbed ‘Margherita Margarita’. Why? Because you can get a pizza and a cocktail for £10 and sit back and enjoy the sounds of live Latin jazz. Every Wed, 5-9pm, £10

Another one for Busaba, whose Lucky Wednesday offer lets you go for a curry, rice and drink for £9.99. Choose from Songkhla Red Curry, Green Chicken Curry and more, with drinks including Singha, wine (white, red or rosé), Coke or Diet Coke. Every Wed, from 4pm, £9.99

Lunch and Early Evening

[Yard and Coop]

Head to fried chicken favourite Yard and Coop at lunchtime and you can get a £5 lunch special – choose from the Thai Tighter Burger (buttermilk fried chicken thigh in a brioche bun with slaw, peppers, lettuce, tomato and homemade Korean sauce) or the Chicken Butty (buttermilk fried chicken thigh with Monterey Jack cheese, chips and either curry or homemade chicken gravy). Mon-Fri, 12-5pm, £5

Also in the Liverpool One complex, Roxy Ballroom have a range of pizzas, burgers and flatbreads to choose from for their ‘2 for £15’ lunch deal. Mon-Fri, 12-3pm, two meals for £15

Pick and mix your way through lunch at Salt House Tapas, where you can get three small plates and bread for £12.95. Busaba's Express Lunch offering allows you to enjoy a selection of "tasty single pot meals" for £7.95. Mon-Fri, 12-4pm, £7.95. After that, there's also a set menu where you can get two courses for £11.90. Mon-Fri, 4-7pm, £11.90

An express lunch for £9.95 sounds good in itself, but at Red’s True Barbecue the deal is sweetened by the promise of bottomless drinks, too. Mon-Fri, 12-4pm, £9.95

Bottomless Brunch

[The Baltic Social]

The Baltic Triangle gets its Bottomless Brunch on at The Baltic Social, where you can pay £30 for unlimited fizz, beer and brunch. Most often served on the last Sunday of the month – with two sittings at 11am-1pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm – they also regularly host one-off specials tying in with topical stuff like race days and Mother’s Day. Selected Sundays, 11am or 1.30pm, £30

Billing itself as the first place in Liverpool to offer bottomless brunch, Ma Boyle’s offers any brunch meal – choose from omlettes, waffles, pancakes, eggs and more – and unlimited Prosecco or rose Prosecco for £25 per person. You’ll have your table for an hour and a half. Sat-Sun, 10am-2pm, £25

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s first pinchos bar Roja Pinchos spins a Spanish twist on the bottomless brunch yarn with Cava Sundays, where the ‘bottomless’ element sways more heavily on the food than the booze (which is no bad thing); £15 gets you endless Spanish pinchos and a glass of cava. Every Sun, £15 (£7.50 for children)

Perhaps one of the best Bottomless Brunch options is over at Castle Street Townhouse, where £35 gets you one classic brunch dish AND one big plate (meat, fish, salad or superfood dish), along with bottomless Mimosas, Brunch Punches or Prosecco. £35

Bottomless Brunch at PanAm offers you a two-course brunch with unlimited Prosecco, Bloody Marys or Mimosas. Yours for under 30 quid! Every Sat, 11am-4pm, £29.95

At Neighbourhood you can pick a brunch dish like eggs Benedict, eggs and lobster, steak and eggs or a sausage and bacon sandwich, then team it up with bottomless Bloody Marys, seasonal cocktails or Prosecco. Every Sat & Sun, 10am-1pm, £35
