As featured in this month’s instalment of our Pioneers series, we asked the talented Lucy Jackson of Manchester's Blawd Bakehouse for some tips on the northwest's best coffee shops, beer houses and lunch spots. Here are her suggestions, and what they each do best...

Who? North Tea Power

Where: 36 Tib Street, Manchester

Why: “Some of the leading guys in the Manchester coffee scene, they also have an extensive selection of loose leaf tea, do an awesome grilled cheese sandwich, and they stock Blawd cakes.”

Who? Bold Street Coffee

Where? 89 Bold Street, Liverpool

Why? “This place has a really nice, chilled out atmosphere. The coffee is amazing and so are the scrambled eggs.”

Who? Idle Hands

Where? 8A Gateway House, Station Approach, Manchester

Why? “Opened in 2015, Idle Hands is one of the best and most forward-thinking places on the Manchester coffee scene. They're also some of the most righteous guys I have the pleasure of knowing.”

Who? Bundobust

Where? 6 Mill Hill, Leeds

Why? “All-vegetarian Indian street food, with loads of vegan options too. The food here is amazing, as is their selection of craft beer. They are opening a place in Manchester soon.”
