Forget Infinity War. For many fans, the most anticipated comic book movie this year is the follow-up to Ryan Reynolds’ comic action vehicle Deadpool. We’ve already had a couple of piss-taking promos featuring the Merc with a Mouth’s sequel, including one in which he makes his own trailer using action figures and one where he channels The Joy of Painting’s Bob Ross.

In the latest trailer, released this morning, we see Deadpool (aka sarcastic mercenary turned superhero Wade Wilson) take a hell of a beating from Josh Brolin’s Cable, pull wheelies around the X Mansion on Professor X’s wheelchair and form his own 'super-dooper mutant group' called X-Force.

“Isn’t that a little derivative?" asks Zazie Beetz’s Domino of the new team's name. “You’re absolutely right,” comes Deadpool's reply.

The requirements for joining the X-Force? “We need them tough, morally flexible, and young enough to carry their own franchise for ten to 12 years,” says Deadpool. As well as Beetz, Terry Crews is also among this new, less reputable group of mutant superheroes as Shatterstar.

Deadpool 2 is released on 16 May by 20th Century Fox
