Brass Eye's Chris Morris has made a new movie in secret

Filmed this summer, the Four Lions director and Brass Eye creator's new film stars Anna Kendrick

It’s been seven long years since Chris Morris’ bracing satire Four Lions hit our screens, and comedy fans have been eagerly awaiting his next film ever since. So the recent news that the Brass Eye creator has already made his follow-up in secret has delighted and intrigued many.

Filmed in the Dominican Republic and Florida this summer, Pitch Perfect’s Anna Kendrick stars. She’s joined by Kayvan Novak (who was brilliant as one of the quartet of terrorists in Four Lions), Orange Is the New Black’s Danielle Brooks, American Horror Story’s Denis O'Hare, and standup James Adomian.

Details of what the film might be about is still a closely guarded secret, but Kendrick has been pictured on set wearing an FBI uniform and bulletproof vest while brandishing a rifle (see below). Some of Morris’ collaborators have been let in on the secret, but they’re keeping schtum. Simon Blackwell, who wrote Four Lions with Morris, was asked about the project by the Hollywood Reporter but gave nothing away. "I'm aware of what [Morris] is cooking, but I can't show you the menu I'm afraid. He has an elite troop of killers who will come and get you. He's doing something marvelous, as you would expect."

We’ve not seen much of Morris since the release of Four Lions, apart from his insistent interviewer role on Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle; we’re extremely eager to find out what he’s come up with.
