The latest trailer for Black Panther has dropped, and it is jaw-dropping. Chadwick Boseman plays the title hero, also known as T'Challsa, who will be familiar to anyone who saw Captain America: Civil War. Ryan Coogler is on director duty for this standalone film, which will introduce us to T'Challsa’s kingdom of Wakanda, an advanced nation where people commute by air and dress in stunning Afrofuturist getups.

This new trailer gives us a good look at Black Panther’s stellar cast, who include Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. The actor who particularly caught our eye in the trailer, however, is Michael B Jordan, who seems to be playing the film’s chief antagonist. Jordan has appeared in Coogler's previous two features Creed and Fruitvale Station, so he’s clearly a lucky talisman for the director.

What really knocked us out about the Black Panther trailer, however, is its sense of style. Rachel Morrison, who also shot Fruitvale Station, is behind the camera and looks to have helped to create an aesthetic unlike any other in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Take a look at the trailer – which zips along to killer remixes of both Gil Scott-Heron’s The Revolution Will Not Be Televised and BagBak from Vince Staples' latest album Big Fish Theory – in the player above.
