The Family Stone

Film Review by Megan Garriock | 16 Apr 2006
Film title: The Family Stone
Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Keaton star in this holiday comedy about the pressures of "meeting the family." The Family Stone is a slapstick fish-out-of-water comedy with a great ensemble cast. When Meredith (Parker), a stiff, uptight businesswoman, is introduced to the slightly more bohemian Stone family, more than witticisms and lasagna fly. Luke Wilson and Rachel McAdams are dazzling as the younger siblings and Parker is able to step outside of her stereotype. The DVD not only features commentary from the stars, deleted scenes, and a gag reel but will include two interactive features. Go on, throw Stones. [Megan Garriock]
Released April 17.
